About You And This Role
Dows Mumbai Global Accounting (MGA) Cost Accounting Expertise Center (CAEC) at Airoli, Navi Mumbai plays a crucial role in providing superior cost accounting support and services. The center is responsible for various tasks, including month-end closing, product cost estimates, and inventory reconciliation. It also handles manual journal entry processing, cost center recovery, and service billing. The team at CAEC is known for its strong technical skills and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. They continuously strive for process improvements and automation to enhance efficiency. Additionally, the center provides essential audit support for both internal and external cost accounting audits.
And now at Dow has an exciting opportunity for an Intern position within the Mumbai Global Accounting (MGA) Cost Accounting Expertise Center (CAEC) at Airoli Navi Mumbai. The intern is responsible for providing consistent cost accounting support, services.
Responsibilities Includes

• Month End Closing Generate and review reports for Cost Accountants using Diamond Systems Reporting, SAP, MS Access and MS Excel.
• Product Cost Estimates (PCE) Generate reporting and investigate/resolve variances (monthly and quarterly).
• Global Material IDs (GMID) Create and maintain accounting segments on requests received through the CMT/PMR tools or functional mailbox.
• Stock Take Observations Coordinate and reconcile inventory counts using the paper reconciliation process.
• Manual Journal Entry processing and Miscellaneous Invoice creation.
• Support Cost Center Recovery, Service Billing and Internal Order Settlement and also support Cost Center Budget Reporting.
  
  

Must Have Qualifications

• Only Candidate from the Institute of Cost and Works Accountant of India (ICWAI) are eligible for this internship
• Preferable candidate who passed ICWAI intermediate examination with equal to and above 60%.
  

Preferred Skills

• Strong verbal and written communication skills are needed.
• Must be an organized self-starter exhibiting good judgment.
• Flexibility to adapt time zone as per changes and demands.
  

Additional Notes
Practical Training is for a period of 15 months.
Relocation is not available for this position.
