Executive Pricing (Road Freight)

Responsible for supporting and optimizing product and pricing strategies for UAE road freight and transport operations. Your role involves analysing market trends, competitor pricing, fleet and operational costs, and customer requirements to establish competitive and profitable pricing structures across domestic and cross-border road freight services. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with operations, fleet, commercial, and finance stakeholders to ensure pricing strategies align with business objectives, service capability, and profitability targets within the UAE market.

Responsibilities

• Own, Support and optimize product pricing strategies tailored to UAE road freight operations, including FTL, LTL, dedicated fleet, and cross-border transportation services.
• Conduct regular analysis of UAE and GCC road freight market trends, competitor pricing, customer demand, and capacity movements to identify opportunities for pricing optimization and commercial growth ultimately to increase sales conversions and deliver actual impact to the business.
• Analyse transportation and fleet operating costs including fuel, Salik/tolls, driver costs, maintenance, leasing, utilization, and subcontractor rates to support accurate and sustainable pricing decisions.
• Identify opportunities to improve revenue and margin performance through pricing reviews, route optimization, customer segmentation, contract negotiations, and value-added transport solutions.
• Support commercial teams in negotiating pricing agreements with customers, transport vendors, subcontractors, and service providers to ensure commercially viable and competitive outcomes.
  
• Monitor pricing performance metrics and operational KPIs including margin performance, utilization, revenue per truck, lane profitability, and customer yield to assess pricing effectiveness and support data-driven decisions.
• Ensure all pricing activities comply with DP World policies, UAE transport regulations, contractual obligations, and applicable commercial governance standards.
• Assess and mitigate pricing risks including fuel price volatility, route and border restrictions, capacity fluctuations, and market changes that may impact profitability or pricing stability.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders including operations, fleet, finance, and commercial teams, as well as external customers, subcontractors, and transport partners by providing timely and transparent pricing support and resolving pricing-related issues efficiently.
• Support customer enquiries through inside sales for quotations, tenders, RFQs, and pricing submissions by preparing competitive commercial proposals aligned with operational capability and target margins for UAE road freight operations to increase proposal/quotation conversions.

Qualifications Skills & Experience

• 3–5 years of experience in road freight pricing, transport operations, freight forwarding, or logistics.
• Proven track record in pricing strategy development, transport costing, and commercial negotiations with transport vendors and subcontractors.
• Hands-on experience analysing road freight cost structures, fleet operating costs, and margin management across domestic and cross-border transportation services.
• Experience supporting tenders, RFQs, and customer pricing submissions within a transport or logistics environment.
• Prior experience in an asset-heavy logistics, transport, or freight management business.
• Familiarity with UAE and GCC road freight markets, transport regulations, and cross-border trade operations.
• Exposure to transport management systems (TMS), pricing automation tools, telematics data, or revenue optimization systems.
• Experience working with fleet utilization, route optimization, and transport productivity metrics.
