General Manager - Finance
What You'll Do

• Be an owner of a variety of projects across finance; must be comfortable shifting from one financial area to another


• Work with senior leadership on all finance matters (including financial reporting, treasury management, accounting and compliance)


• Work directly with banks, audit-firms, diligence providers, and other financial institutions

• Direct the organization on how to structure various parts of the business to meet the strategic vision of the company


• Highly entrepreneurial role in a very flat environment (open office, no separate cubicles, a "how can I help" culture).
  

Required Skills

• Qualified Chartered Accountants with 5 years of post-qualification experience, preferably in a venture-backed ecommerce setting


• You must have prior experience in a similar role, working directly with senior leadership on challenging financial projects


• You have proven communication, problem solving, and analytical skills
  

Prior experience in:

• Financial reporting & statutory compliance: Provide daily/weekly/monthly/fortnightly financial and management information reports including budget Vs actual. Responsible for accounting and financial systems, 100% statutory compliance and timely, adequate controls and accurate bookkeeping. Ensure legal and licensing compliance with periodic scanning of business model.


• Taxation and audits: Develop appropriate processes to reduce tax burden. Monitor compliance with statutory authorities for taxation. Liaise with external Auditors to ensure timely and smooth closure of financials. Smoothly complete statutory and internal audits.
