Job Description
JOB SCOPE
Completes the tasks related to embedded software engineering development and customer support during the planning and development of new software. Tasks are medium complex, with certain requirements to exercise judgment, especially for the software architecture when requested. Responsibility for the development of a full software development and the software architecture.
Major Responsibilities
Completes the tasks related to embedded software engineering development and customer support during the planning and development of new software. Tasks are medium complex, with certain requirements to exercise judgment, especially for the software architecture when requested. Responsibility for the development of a full software development and the software architecture.
Major Responsibilities
- Leads embedded software development with software team meeting
- Analyzes the functional requirements from the system and software specifications of the customer
- Validates the matrix of commitment (compliance matrix)
- Defines the software requirements for the Companys embedded software
- Writes a software timing plan and maintains iDefines the software architecture (in case of software architecture responsibility)
- Identifies risks, analyzes, determines solutions with application engineering
- Develops part of the software modules
- Validates part of the software product (UT and integration tests)
- Supports software and system validation done by IT&V team
- Handles software tickets and follow up on corrective actions
- Evaluates proposed software changes for impact and feasibility, on the software prior to incorporation
- Supports to prepare the software acceptance (collection of blocking points, corrections, technical validations), formalize the engineering contract.
- Bachelors degree in a technical (software, electrical, systems engineering, etc.) or scientific field or equivalent qualification.
- Min. 5 years experience
- Experience in software engineering in embedded software development
- Software architecture
- Real time Automotive embedded software: microcontrollers, C language, Operating systems, Scheduler, Communication CAN bus, OSEK standard, Drivers for different I/O (i.e. watchdog, sensor, motor, solenoid/E magnet, etc.).
- Safety design / ISO 26262 preferred
- V cycle method, ASPICE preferred
- Autosar preferred
- Automotive experience preferred
- Fluent English
