Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for an Admission Counsellor based in Patel Nagar. The Admission Counsellor will engage with prospective students to understand their academic and career goals and guide them through program selection and the application/enrolment process.
Key Responsibilities Include
  • Provide personalized academic and career counselling to prospective students, helping them choose suitable undergraduate or postgraduate programs.
  • Assist applicants through the end-to-end application and admission process, including documentation, follow-ups, and coordination with partner universities.
  • Maintain accurate student records in CRM systems and ensure timely updates on application status.
  • Meet or exceed enrolment and conversion targets through effective counselling and relationship-building.
  • Conduct outreach activities and information sessions to engage potential students and address their queries.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and partner university representatives to resolve admission-related issues and ensure a smooth enrolment experience.
Qualifications
Required:
  • Bachelors degree in any discipline.
  • 13 years of experience in education counselling, admissions, student recruitment, or related sales/advisory roles (experience in higher education admissions preferred).
  • Fluent verbal and written communication skills in English and Hindi; ability to converse in a regional language is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience (at least 1 year) using CRM systems such as Salesforce, HubSpot, or Zoho CRM to manage leads, update student records, and run basic reports.

    Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel including basic formulas and pivot tables, and Word).
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple applicant cases and meet enrolment/conversion targets; willingness to work on-site in Patel Nagar.
Preferred
  • 2+ years of experience specifically in higher education admissions or counselling roles.
  • Educational background in Education, Psychology, Counselling, or related fields.
  • Experience with LMS or student information systems and familiarity with UGC/AICTE university application processes.
  • Experience with CRM automation, lead-scoring, dashboard/report creation, and data-driven recruitment strategies.
  • Certifications in counselling or training in student recruitment, sales techniques, or related areas.
