As a Data Engineer on the Egencia Analytics team, you’ll build robust and durable data pipelines with the ability to scale for growth. You’ll also contribute directly to how we measure and construct reporting templates and requirements to enable data democracy through the company. The code you write will enable our customers to get insights in a timely manner. You’ll work on a variety of tools and systems, most of which are cloud-based applications or data-platform components (e.g., data pipelines, processing, visualization, reporting, etc.). You’ll be part of a team to help shape and develop the future of data within the company.

Position Overview:
Data engineering projects, Advanced SQL, ETL pipelines, Snowflake, Python, CI/CD, Jira, Reports & Dashboards.
What You’ll Do on a Typical Day :

• Design, implement and operate large-scale, high-volume, high-performance data structures for analytics and reporting
• Help build continuous improvements in reporting and analysis processes, automating or simplifying self-service modelling and production support
• Build robust ETLs/ELTs to transform data from various operational systems and craft a unified dimensional or star schema data model
• Be part of the team that would interface with business customers and stakeholders to gathering requirements and deliver a complete reporting solution
  

What We’re Looking For :

• 2+ years of experience developing solid code in Python, with a BS or Master’s degree in computer science or equivalent fields
• Advanced SQL writing and experience in data mining (SQL, ETL, data warehouse, etc.) and using databases in a business environment with complex datasets
• Experience in technologies such as Redshift, Snowflake, S3, EC2, lambda and data pipelines
• Knowledge with reporting tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Sisense etc.
• Exposure to working with multi-terabyte data sets using relational databases (RDBMS)
• Exposure with Agile, DevOps, CICD frameworks
• Thrives on learning and mastering new datasets and technology quickly
