: Growth Consultant.
Position: Growth Consultant (Enterprise, Mid Size Consumer Brands).
Location: Mumbai | Bangalore | Gurgaon.
Employment Type: Full-Time, On-Site.
The Opportunity:
1DigitalStack is looking for growth-minded individuals who have been in the trenches founders who have built D2C or marketplace brands, and operators who know what it takes to grow on Amazon, Flipkart, Blinkit, Zepto, and other platforms from first principles.
This is not a conventional sales or account management role.
As a Growth Consultant at 1DS, you will embed yourself as a strategic partner to consumer brands understanding their category dynamics, diagnosing marketplace performance gaps, and co-creating growth roadmaps that span media, assortment, pack architecture, and execution.
You will be the person our clients call when they want to grow, not just report.
Role Description:
The Growth Consultant will work directly with consumer brands across FMCG, D2C, and lifestyle categories to drive measurable marketplace growth outcomes.
The role combines consultative partnership with hands-on execution you will hunt new opportunities, farm existing relationships, and above all, deliver results.
The primary responsibilities include:
- Act as the primary growth partner for assigned brand clients understanding their P&L, category priorities, and marketplace ambitions.

- Diagnose underperformance across key marketplace levers: share of search, media efficiency, assortment gaps, pricing architecture, and pack-size mix.
- Design and execute growth roadmaps leveraging 1DS capabilities including retail media deployment, sponsored search, product content, and intelligence platforms.
- Drive media planning and deployment decisions working alongside 1DS media teams to optimise ROAS, TACOS, and category share.
- Identify and pursue new client opportunities through direct outreach, industry networks, and event participation.
- Translate marketplace data into actionable client conversations presenting insights, recommending interventions, and holding execution accountable.
- Collaborate with internal product, analytics, and media teams to deliver measurable outcomes for clients.
- Represent 1DigitalStack at key industry events and forums as a credible voice on marketplace growth.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
What We Are Really Looking For:
- Ex-founder or co-founder who has built and scaled a D2C or marketplace-first brand on Amazon, Flipkart, Meesho, or quick commerce platforms.
- Operators who have managed P&Ls, navigated category dynamics, and made real decisions around media budgets, pack architecture, and pricing strategy.
- Individuals with an instinct for growth not just execution, but the ability to identify what will move the needle and pursue it with urgency.
- Strong commercial orientation comfortable hunting new relationships and farming existing ones with equal energy.
Experience & Background:
- Prior experience as a founder, co-founder, or early operator in a consumer brand, D2C startup, or marketplace-native business strongly preferred.
- Deep understanding of how marketplaces work: search algorithms, sponsored media, listing quality, reviews, assortment strategy, and competitive positioning.

- Comfort working with data ability to read dashboards, interpret trends, and build a coherent growth narrative for clients.
- 4-8 years of relevant experience in e-commerce, consumer brands, performance marketing, or marketplace operations.
- MBA from a Tier 1 or Tier 2 institute preferred; pedigree matters less than marketplace depth and commercial instinct.

- High ownership mindset you treat your client's business as your own.
- Bias for action you move fast, iterate, and do not wait for perfect information.
- Comfort with ambiguity early-stage startup environment where you will help define the playbook, not just follow it.
- Strong communication skills ability to simplify complex marketplace dynamics into clear, client-ready narratives.
- Collaborative but independent able to work cross-functionally while driving your own book of outcomes.
