Senior Power System Engineer

Role Summary

Responsible for conducting advanced power system studies and simulations for industrial, utility, and renewable energy projects. This includes load flow, short circuit, arc flash, harmonic, and transient studies using ETAP, EMTP, Digsilent PowerFactory, and XGSLab. The role involves mentoring junior engineers, ensuring technical accuracy, and collaborating with clients and stakeholders.

Job Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform detailed simulations: load flow, short circuit, protection coordination, arc flash, harmonics, and transient stability.
• Prepare and validate models in ETAP, EMTP, Digsilent, and XGSLab.

• Develop and update technical reports, simulation documentation, and compliance checklists.
• Support grid compliance studies, earthing design, and power quality analysis.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical support for complex problems.
• Review data sheets, vendor documentation, and provide design recommendations.
• Coordinate with clients for data collection, findings presentation, and approvals.
• Track project tasks and progress in Zoho Projects.

• Hands On Experience in ETAP / EMTP / Power Factory
• Must Have Proper Knowledge of IEEE, IEC and NFPA Standards for System Studies
• Bachelor / Masters degree in electrical engineering or Power Systems.
• Bring Specific knowledge of power system modelling and simulations.
• Demonstrable experience in power system simulation software ETAP / EMTP / Power Factory
• Also Demonstrable experience in power system simulation software PSSE / PSCAD
