About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Financial Product Compliance leader to drive regulatory strategy and compliance oversight for our India-based financial product offerings. This role will work closely with Product, Engineering, Risk, and Legal teams to ensure compliance requirements are embedded seamlessly into the product development lifecycle while navigating evolving regulatory frameworks from the RBI and other financial regulators.
The ideal candidate will bring deep regulatory expertise along with a strong understanding of fintech products and technology architecture, enabling them to translate complex regulatory expectations into practical product and engineering requirements.
Key Responsibilities:

Product Compliance Strategy:
- Lead the compliance strategy for financial products in India, ensuring adherence to RBI regulations and other applicable financial regulatory frameworks.
- Provide early-stage compliance guidance during product design, development, and launch cycles.
Regulatory Advisory:
- Interpret the intent and rationale behind regulatory frameworks and translate them into actionable compliance controls for product and engineering teams.
- Advise leadership on regulatory licensing, approvals, and compliance risk for new financial product launches.
Product & Engineering Collaboration:
- Partner closely with Product Managers and Engineering teams to embed compliance directly into product architecture and system workflows.
- Ensure regulatory controls are integrated into product features, APIs, reporting systems, and operational processes.
Regulatory Reporting & Documentation:
- Oversee preparation and submission of regulatory filings, audit documentation, and compliance reports.
- Ensure strong governance around regulatory reporting and documentation standards.
Compliance Governance:
- Build and maintain robust compliance frameworks, policies, and monitoring mechanisms aligned with regulatory expectations.
- Work closely with risk, audit, legal, and operations teams to ensure sustained compliance readiness.
Stakeholder Management:
- Act as the primary compliance advisor for product and business leadership.
- Engage with regulators, auditors, and external compliance partners when required.
