Lead Product Manager

Role description: This role is with one of our portfolio companies.

We are hiring a Head of Product for one of our portfolio companies — a high-potential technology firm at a pivotal moment in its growth trajectory. This is the most senior product role within the organisation, and you will be accountable for defining the product vision, shaping the roadmap, and building the necessary discipline to take the company from early traction to significant, scalable impact.

This role offers a rare combination of high autonomy and high accountability. You will work closely with the founders, operate with lean processes, and exercise genuine ownership over product direction and outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Product Strategy & Roadmap: Establish the product direction based on fundamental principles; translate business ambitions into a coherent roadmap with clear sequencing, trade-offs, and measurable milestones
• AI-Native Product Development: Integrate AI meaningfully into core product workflows and user experiences from day one; this is an expectation, not an aspiration
• Discovery & Problem Framing: Go beyond surface-level requirements; engage deeply with stakeholders to identify second and third-order problems and design solutions built for scalability

• Enterprise & Integration Readiness: Drive API-first product thinking; understand the technical and security requirements of enterprise clients and build accordingly
• Execution Ownership: Take full accountability from ideation through launch and iteration; the gap between strategy and delivery is yours to close
• Team Building & Culture: Lead and develop a small, high-calibre product team; invest in hiring, mentoring, and establishing a culture of ownership and rigour
• Act as a product evangelist within the organization, aligning stakeholders on product goals and strategies.

What Were Looking For:

• Bachelors degree in a relevant field; an MBA from a Tier 1 institution is preferred
• 8–12 years of progressive product management experience, with a minimum of 3–4 years in a role carrying full product ownership and strategic accountability
• A proven track record in building 0-1 products

  Get Hired
  , owning and executing product strategy throughout the entire product lifecycle, from inception to go-to-market.
• Hands-on experience building or integrating AI/ML into live products; conceptual familiarity is not sufficient
• Deep understanding of B2B or B2B2C product dynamics — the ability to serve both enterprise buyers and end users with equal clarity
• Comfort operating in ambiguous, resource-constrained environments where the playbook does not yet exist
• Strong written and verbal communication skills — capable of effectively engaging with a founder, a CTO, and a junior PM

Strong Differentiators

• Prior experience in regulated industries — including fintech, legaltech, insurtech, or similar domains
• Exposure to API-first or platform product development
• Experience with enterprise onboarding processes, integration complexities, or compliance-heavy product requirements
• A track record of building product teams and establishing PM culture in early-stage environments
