About The Role
We are seeking an Account Manager for our Corporate responsible for the achievement of individual sales quota both in new sales and renewals by capturing the customers needs and providing the best solution from all Elsevier solutions for the customers. Expected to contribute to the Regional/Global Corporate team/Company sales and revenue targets. The main industries in the territory are High-tech market, Chemical and material science and corporate market.
Responsibilities
  • Builds and maintains effective long-term relationships and a high level of satisfaction with key senior-level decision makers and influencers at an assigned group of customer accounts that may include major strategic customers within a geographic or industry focus.
  • Identifies, develops and typically closes new sales opportunities.
  • Creates demand for the organizations products and services by raising their profile with customers.
  • Achieves revenue targets by increasing revenue spend per account.
  • May conduct regular status and strategy meetings with the customers senior management to understand their needs and link them to the organizations product/service strategies.
  • Plans own territory or account approach and monitors resources while working within overall sales plan developed by manager.
  • Typically responsible for products/services or territories/accounts that have moderate complexity. May train new team members and provide input to employee performance evaluations.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years direct account sales background for Hi-Tech or semiconductor industry (not agent sales)
  • Strong B2B solution value-based sales experience data & analytics, consulting or any other solution sales experience
  • Communicate powerfully and confidently with the customer, manager and the colleagues, and being a team player who can maximize the revenue by collaborating with others
  • Being innovative to find the best sales approach for both customers and the company without fear to question status quo
  • Able to identify the opportunity by asking questions based on the curiosity and being agile to address to that
  • Business level English
  • Able to think and review the business from others (customer, colleagues, product people) view
  • Able to go beyond the regular contact point and have value communication
  • Worked in the global company with strong business culture for D&I and Ethics
  • High motivation for work and steep learning curve in something new
  • Able to acquire and maintain the trust from the customer by the confidence in communication
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience
  • Those who are not disqualified from traveling abroad (for men, those who have completed military service by the date of join or have been exempted)
  • Science background is a plus
  • Any experience of selling service to corporate R&D is a plus
