About the Role:

Elucidata is seeking a skilled and motivated Bioinformatics Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing scalable bioinformatics applications and pipelines for efficient data processing and consumption. You will also maintain and enhance existing pipelines, adding new features to improve performance and usability. This role offers an opportunity to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, apply data science and engineering principles to solve complex problems, and leverage AI/ML to accelerate drug discovery and biomedical research.

Key Responsibilities:

• 
  Develop production-ready application and UI to perform real world analysis and visualizations.
• Write production-ready code for bioinformatics algorithms, pipelines, visualizations, and data reporting.
• Processing public omics datasets through customized pipelines and implementing ML algorithms to structured data.
• Work with internal and external scientists to productize their work, build reusable solution packages.
• Innovate and implement new tools and features, and improve existing pipelines and algorithms for different types of biological data analysis and visualization.
• Effectively communicate and document the processes and handle client interactions.

Required Skills:

• Experience: 1-2 years of relevant experience in Bioinformatics applications, R-shiny, pipeline development, data analysis, or related fields.

  Get Hired
  Education: Masters in Computer Science, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or related technical discipline.
• Proficient in a programming language used for data processing, analysis, and visualization such as Python and R. Ability to learn and work collaboratively on GitHub.
• Experience in implementing bioinformatics pipelines and data structures/objects Hands-on experience applying computational algorithms and statistical methods to structured and unstructured big data.
• Hands-on experience with Spotfire and other Dashboarding tools is an advantage.
• Strong computer science fundamentals to think independently and also contribute to an active intellectual environment.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to work across teams.
