Job Description
emagine is on a growth journey and the Group Finance Department has adapted to support this. As a consequence, country Finance Manager positions are being rescoped, strengthened and created, Deputy Finance Manager, India being one of them. This new role has both accounting & compliance as well as Finance Business Partner aspects with room to develop the full scope of the role. Both in terms of optimizing the processes – and fleshing out the Business Partner interaction with the country management teams supporting the local decision-making with solid financial data.
Finance Manager work tasks:
- Finance compliance
- Ensure correct month and year-end closes in the standard group ERP. Liaise with the Group on improving a closing process.
- Ensure the local ERP configuration is compliant
- Manage the external audit process
- Produce and file the Annual Report
- Ensure compliance on local GAAP.
- Nordic-style accounting team management
- Review and optimize finance processes, including the way the accounting team is set up and operates.
- Ensure treasury is managed efficiently and securely
- Manage local Order to Cash and Purchase to Pay processes optimising NWC in the process
Tax and regulatory compliance
- Ensure local compliance with direct taxation
- Ensure local compliance with indirect taxation
- Ensure regulatory filings compliance
Payroll compliance (outsourced)
- Coordinate payroll inputs with the HR department and the outsourced payroll provider
- Payroll administration, bonus, and commission calculations
- Monitor the quality of services delivered under the SLAs.
Business Partnering
- In coordination with the Offshore Finance Manager, act as a trusted partner to the Country Manager and other stakeholders regarding financial performance management.
- Understand and explain the development/business drivers and use this to drive local decision-making.
- Adapt processes to achieve the structured and scalable commercial and administrative functions required by a fast-growing organization.
Budgeting and Reporting
- Drive the local budgeting processes, primarily FTE and OPEX-focused (ie. excluding revenue and GM, which are provided by Group)
- Prepare budgets, including continuous updating and follow-up on key figures.
- Prepare any ad hoc reporting for Group or Local management

- Fluent in spoken and written English and local language (e.g. Kanada). Fluency in other major languages may be an advantage.
- Experience from a similar position and/or experience from an international audit/accounting firm working with and in medium-sized to large companies – ideally also with a group perspective.
- Hands-on experience required within areas of responsibility
- Hands-on experience with Business Central or Navision in India (or at least an ERP other than Tally)
- Experience working in or with European businesses as well as Indian businesses
