Job Purpose




To support the development, implementation and delivery of Environmental and Resource Management monitoring and compliance/governance services and related Environmental awareness and training programs to ENOC Group to minimise environmental non-compliance and pollution risks.






Principal Accountabilities




  • Monitors and checks impact of ENOC Group activities on the environment.

  • Define Environmental monitoring and compliance KPIs and set targets for various Segments and roll up to the Corporate KPIs.

  • Collect, analyse, and manage environmental data, including air quality permitting and emissions data management, stormwater/NPDES/Industrial discharge programs, hazardous materials/waste management, etc. and prepare environmental reports for regulatory submissions and other environmental media.

  • Prepare Environmental Performance analysis reports on monthly, quarterly and annual basis, analyse and suggest performance improvement programs to the Segments/Business units.

  • Design and develop Environmental monitoring and compliance manuals and guidelines in line with local regulations and international best practices for approval by ENOC management.

  • Design and develop Technical standards and procedures on environmental compliance and performance monitoring in line with local and international best practices as required for ENOC group companies and assist them in implementing the same after their ratification.

  • Provide technical support to ENOC group for developing environmental improvement programs as required.

  • Develop and establish legal compliance register covering relevant environmental aspects for ENOC group companies and update the same as legislation changes.

  • Conduct various types of environmental monitoring and resource management compliance assessments and integrated management system audits to minimise risks to the business.

  • Maintain awareness of technological, legal, and professional issues and changes associated with environmental issues and legal requirements across the organization to achieve best in class environmental performance.

  • Develop and conduct training programmes on environmental management for ENOC group companies and key contractors.

  • Promote or represent ENOC Group of companies in appropriate forums including regulatory bodies to enhance ENOC’s image as an environmentally responsible company.

  • Conduct research and development on latest environmental best practices for environmental improvement programs and assists in developing and implementing environmental strategies for ENOC Group.

  • Network with relevant local and international agencies and carry out benchmarking exercise in environmental compliance and performance monitoring.







Experience




  • At least a bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Civil or Environmental Engineering or Environmental Science. A master’s degree in environmental management or environmental planning or sustainable development will be preferable.

  • Must have at least 5 years post qualification experience in chemical, petrochemical, oil and gas industry or eight years in any environmental consultancy organisation in the field of environmental, HSE or quality management.

  • Must be certified as an ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 lead auditor.

  • Analytical and research skills including data analysis, investigative analytical reasoning with ability to research and present key information in a clear and concise way.

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, including written and verbal communication.

  • Good organisational and time management skills

  • Computer literate (eg Microsoft Office programs, analytical software).
