Senior Technical Software Engineer (.NET)

The Senior Technical Software Engineer is a fully participating member of an agile feature team who works independently on software development and problem resolution. The role involves technical design, software development, implementation, and maintenance of software solutions/products that support the Emirates Group Business.
In This Role, You Will

• Collaborate with the team to deliver technical design, development and deployment of complex solutions within relevant product.
• Carry out effective technical design reviews to ensure that the right architecture patterns are used by the team.
• Drive the adoption of Engineering practices , implement development process automation, lean software development, built-in-quality, test driven development, agile practices, and timely root cause analysis and blameless incident post-mortems.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to determine viability of solutions.
• Evaluate current problems, future requirements and existing solutions in medium to large projects to enable high level design and drive proof-of-concepts and implement prototypes to validate ideas.
• Investigate, debug and fix complex issues involving corner cases and rare conditions.
• Support continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and new technologies and presenting these for architectural review.
• Contribute to sprint/work design and planning by providing subject matter expertise on business domain and relevant technologies and actively contribute to technology specific community of practices.

• Manage and mentor Software Engineers to allow for skill/knowledge development through advice, coaching, and training opportunities.
• Responsible for their technical deliveries and adherence to design and coding standards and practices.
• Ensure optimal use of enterprise application platforms, tools and libraries in line with the approved technology architecture.
• Responsible for corrective, adaptive, preventative and perfective maintenance of products in collaboration with other capabilities for the relevant product.
  

Qualification
To be considered for the role, you must meet the below requirements:

• Degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Software Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in Software Engineering.
• Extensive hands-on experience with .NET technologies, including building and maintaining enterprise-grade applications.
• Strong background in full-stack development across enterprise desktop, web, and mobile applications, handling both backend and frontend responsibilities using Microsoft technology stacks.
• Proven experience working with .NET frameworks, including .NET Framework and .NET Core, in large-scale application environments.
• Advanced proficiency in C#, ASP.NET, .NET Core, Windows Forms, WPF, and UWP for enterprise application development.

• Solid experience with frontend technologies, including object-oriented HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript, for building responsive user interfaces.
• Demonstrated experience designing and developing microservices architectures and APIs using REST and SOAP protocols.
• Strong working knowledge of relational databases (such as Oracle and SQL Server) as well as non-relational databases (including Couchbase, Elasticsearch, and Cassandra).
• Hands-on experience with application performance monitoring and observability tools, particularly AppDynamics, to ensure system reliability and performance optimization.
• Proven ability to apply software design principles, patterns, and best practices in application architecture and development.
• Practical experience working within Lean and Agile development methodologies, contributing to iterative and value-driven delivery.
• Experience developing, deploying, and supporting applications on cloud platforms, preferably AWS or Microsoft Azure.
• Familiarity with Continuous Integration (CI) environments, including creating and maintaining build, configuration, and automated test scripts.
• Working knowledge or experience with enterprise integration tools such as Informatica, SnapLogic, and Solace.
• Prior exposure to HR and Finance domains is considered an added advantage.
