EnerMech - Lead - Record To Report

We are seeking an experienced Record to Report (R2R) Lead to join our Shared Service Centre (SSC) in India. This role reports directly to the SSC Director (TBC) and involves leading the R2R function, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of financial close, reporting, reconciliations, and compliance.
The R2R Lead will collaborate with Finance & Accounting Directors, Financial Controllers, Group Functions, and other internal stakeholders to drive operational excellence, process improvements, and service delivery aligned to global standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Team Management:
- Lead and manage the R2R team within SSC India.
- Drive people development, mentoring, performance management, and succession planning.
- Promote a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Financial Close & Reporting:
- Plan and execute month-end close activities in line with the global close calendar.
- Review and approve journal entries prepared by SSC R2R team.
- Ensure timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual accounts.
- Coordinate and review cash flow inputs for reporting.
Reconciliations & Compliance:
- Ensure completion and review of all balance sheet reconciliations on time.
- Oversee reconciliation of general ledger accounts and corrective action follow-ups.

- Support Intercompany reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
- Ensure adherence to statutory reporting requirements and compliance with internal controls.
Audit & Controls:
- Support statutory, internal, and external audit requirements.
- Ensure strong internal control framework, including SOX/ICFR compliance where applicable.
Process Transition & Improvement:
- Drive knowledge transfer, transition, and stabilisation of R2R processes into SSC.
- Lead or support transitions of accounting processes from global locations to offshore centers.
- Drive automation initiatives and process improvement projects; exposure to Power BI or other analytics tools is a plus.
- Identify, design, and implement process and system improvements.
- Monitor SLA/KPI adherence, analyse variances, and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure documentation, process mapping, and continuous improvement of accounting processes
Stakeholder Management:
- Collaborate closely with Geography Finance teams and Group functions.
- Build strong professional working relationships across SSC and global teams.
- Ensure customer satisfaction and resolve escalations effectively.
Role Requirements:
Education & Professional Qualification: Qualified Accountant CPA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent.
Experience:
- 10 years of relevant experience in R2R, preferably in GCCs or MNC Oil and Gas companies.
- Proven track record in managing multi-entity R2R processes.
- Strong knowledge of financial accounting, reporting principles, and statutory compliance.
Skills:
Excellent analytical skills and financial acumen.
Excellent communication skills in English both written and verbal.
Proven stakeholder management and cross-cultural collaboration ability.
Project management and change management skills.
Experience in delivering automation projects and working with tools like Power BI or similar.
Exceptional skills in MS Office, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Demonstrated leadership qualities with a focus on team-building, employee engagement, and customer-centricity.
Sound understanding of finance integration across functions.
Experienced in process documentation, redesign, and controls implementation.
Ability to work flexibly across global time zones during peak close periods.
