Billing & Collections Analyst
The Team
The team presently includes seven individuals in Mumbai including revenue, AP, and GL accountants. The team is expected to expand as more functional areas and tasks are offshored. The US team mainly resides in Chicago and includes 10 individuals.
The Role
Billing and Collections Analyst will support billing functions and will play a key role in supporting invoicing, billing, contract review, collections, and maintaining accurate records. The candidate will provide value added service to our internal/external partners. This role is highly visible and requires the ability to prioritize and plan.
What You’ll Do

• Address billing and cash posting questions from clients and internal stakeholders
• Respond to customer queries on their invoices and resolve any billing irregularities that might be identified
• 
  Manage the monthly close and reporting process with multiple deadlines, including account reconciliations, journal entries, and billing
• Gather billing and cash posting documentation for internal and external audits
• Responsible for the timely collection of receivables and short payments
• Continually monitor and update customer interaction documentation in support of collections
• Ability to perform manual billing processes
• Create billing schedules from commercial contracts
• Work under tight time constraints due to departmental and contractual deadlines
• Collaboratively work in a team-oriented environment
• Ability to work effectively with other departments
  

What You’ll Need

• Bachelors degree with major course work in Accounting, Finance or Business
• Detail oriented, ability to adapt to changes in workflow
• Strong Microsoft Suite skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Previous experience in collections and/or billing
• Dispute negotiation experience
• Knowledgeable in US GAAP, especially ASC 606
• CPA or global equivalent a plus
• 1-3 years of accounting and/or billing experience
