Team Overview
We are seeking an Assistant Manager, Human Resources, to join our team in Chandigarh. You will support the recently appointed Head of HR, India, and manage core HR functions, including payroll, employee relations, learning and development, and benefits administration. This role will also focus on recruitment, where you will play a pivotal role in meeting our staffing needs and building a strong talent pipeline.
Working closely with the Head of Talent Acquisition and hiring managers across the India offices in Chandigarh and Pune, you will act as a trusted partner and play a key role in positioning the company for further growth and success. Role Responsibilities
- Managing third-party vendor relationships covering payroll, benefits, and learning platforms for the Chandigarh and Pune offices
- Ensuring accurate and timely payroll management across the India offices
- Partnering with the global HR team on compensation, benefits administration, legal employment matters, and learning & development
- Assisting the Head of HR in managing the performance management cycle, from goal setting to annual reviews
- Supporting employee engagement initiatives and diversity and inclusion events
- Providing first-level employee relations advice and conflict resolution for managers
- Partnering with the recruitment team and hiring managers to identify business needs and role requirements and taking charge of recruitment efforts to fulfil those requirements
- Building and managing talent pools with accuracy, adaptability, and refined processes as searches evolve
- At least 5 years of professional experience in human resources, ideally as an Executive or Generalist
- Proven ability to manage payroll with accuracy and timeliness
- Demonstrated success in fostering positive employee relations
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at all levels
- Comprehensive knowledge of managing the full employee lifecycle and detail-oriented, action-focused approach
- Exceptional communication skills in English, both written and verbal
