Role Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented part-time Payroll Specialist to join our team. The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for processing monthly payroll across APAC. We have a large workforce in India and smaller teams in the Philippines and South Africa.
You would be ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations, and providing excellent customer service to employees regarding payroll inquiries and issues. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of payroll processes, and the ability to work collaboratively within the HR team.
Responsibilities
- Knowledge of India Federal, State local payroll policies and procedures.
- Having experience of handling multiple country payrolls in addition to India. Experience in compliance and regulations for payroll across APAC, Philippines and South Africa HR operations good to have.
- Candidate must have at least 7 years of relevant experience in end to end payroll operations/administration, will be in charge of ensuring that all calculations are accurate.
- Liaise with stakeholders for payroll inputs, coordinate with vendor and validate payroll reports, taking required approval on reports, sharing final reports bank file and GL with finance team to release payment and maintain statutory receipts.
- Knowledge of payroll process transition and implementation with vendor.
- Will be a part of Corporate HR - Total Rewards team and will report to Payroll Manager regarding daily activities, issues and look for solutions.
- First point of contact for employee queries and providing resolutions.
- Working knowledge of the employment/labour, payroll, tax and regulatory laws. Carrying out end to end process of income tax declaration, investment proofs validation, flexi benefits, allowances and perks.
- Timely registers - Salary / Full and Final Payment / Gratuity / TDS / Form 16, Returns of PF, ESI is forwarded to Accounts and payments made within specified time.
- Experience working with HRIS and Payroll systems (Paylocity, BlueMarble, GreytHR is preferred)
- Generate reports and analytics related to payroll data, audit and internal reports.
- Employees induction about salary structure and it’s components
- Handling any adhoc tasks assigned.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite especially MS – Excel.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and organize workload, multi-tasking is essential.
- Able to work effectively, independently with minimal supervision
- Having a sense of urgency, initiative and capability being able to anticipate situations before they arise within a fast-paced, high-pressure environment across multiple internal/external stakeholders.
- Stakeholder and relationship management.
- Experience within a MNC working within a highly-matrixed environment.
- Hybrid/Virtual Work - Virtual-first workforce with office available in Delhi NCR (Noida).
