Communications Officer

Job description / Role

Synopsis

To manage and execute internal and external communications for the Etihad Cargo division. This includes developing engaging content, coordinating campaigns, and supporting key communication initiatives aligned with the divisions commercial and operational goals. The role will work closely with commercial, operational, and customer experience teams to ensure alignment and timely delivery of communications across multiple platforms.

Accountabilities

- Support the development and execution of internal and external communication materials for Etihad Cargo, including updates, newsletters, social media content, and key announcements.
- Act as the point of contact for cargo-related communication requests, ensuring consistent messaging and branding across all channels.
- Draft, edit, and manage cargo-specific content for digital platforms such as Yammer, intranet, customer portals, and stakeholder newsletters.
- Assist in planning and implementing communications for campaigns, product launches, partnerships, and key Cargo events.

- Coordinate with internal departments to gather inputs and communicate updates across the cargo division.
- Support preparation of reports and presentations related to communications performance, campaign results, and internal engagement.
- Maintain an updated cargo content calendar, ensuring timely and relevant communication aligned with business priorities.
- Provide communications support during cargo operational disruptions or incident response, aligned with corporate emergency procedures.

Education & Experience

- Preferred degree or journalistic qualification. High computer literacy.
- 4 years of experience of working on communications projects and demonstration of an ability to work well in a team or individually.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Excellent planning, organisational skills and possesses the desire and ability to network and form relationships.
- Proficient in MS Office: the highest standards of presentation and administrative skills are expected.
- Flexibility: the nature of the departments work can result in the need to work extra unsociable hours with little or no notice.
