Data Scientist

Synopsis

Data Scientist who will contribute to the digital transformation process of Etihads Commercial area to transform it into a competitive advantage for the company. Implement data science models to drive incremental revenues and improve efficiency. Research and assess cutting-edge technologies/models applied in commercial space and contribute to proof-of-concept and further end-to-end implementation.

Accountabilities

• Drive revenue and automation by developing advanced analytical models (descriptive, diagnostic, predictive, prescriptive) and deploying them in the Commercial ecosystem.
• Develop and maintain calibration of models to ensure they are relevant and optimal for the current business state.
• Monitor the revenue benefits of the advanced analytical models and provide monthly reports on revenue improvements and actionable insights.
• Research and propose ways to enhance the existing business processes by effectively utilizing advanced analytical solutions.
• 
  Communicate and present insights to relevant stakeholders.
• Manage user acceptance testing and roll-out of new systems and upgrades of the existing ones to ensure delivery of requirements as per the business needs without any severe defects or bugs.

Education & Experience

• Masters or bachelors degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, statistics, or Data Science.
• 3+ years of relevant experience designing, implementing, and maintaining Data Science models used in commercial processes.
• Experience using data science programming languages (R, Python), SQL, and cloud-based data warehouse (Azure Synapse analytics, Google Big Query).
• Experience building, deploying, and maintaining advanced analytical or data models in a business setting.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills

• Experience within the aviation/travel industry in the commercial areas is preferred.
• Desirable: Experience in Dev-Ops and ML-Ops methodologies and tools.
• Desirable: experience in digital or analytics-related roles in the airline industry.
