What Youll Be Doing:

Evolent is looking for Associate Quality Engineer to be a key member of the application engineering team. This individual will play a critical role in executing Evolents mission by improving quality of the system.

Responsibilities

1. Assist in developing and executing test cases for software applications.

2. Perform manual testing to verify software functionality, usability, and performance.

3. Identify, document, and track software defects and collaborate with developers to resolve them.

4. Support the development and maintenance of test documentation, including test plans and test scripts.

5. Execute regression tests to ensure new code does not impact existing functionality.

6. Contribute to test data preparation and test environment setup.

7. Learn and support test automation efforts by writing basic automated test scripts.

8. Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and product planning sessions to understand testing needs.

9. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure clear communication on quality goals.

Academic Qualification

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field

Mandatory Skills:

1. Candidate should have 1-3 years of experience in functional/manual software testing.

2. Good understanding of software testing methodologies and principles.

3. Exposure to programming languages such as C#, Java, Python, or JavaScript and SQL knowledge is a plus.

4. Familiarity with version control systems like Git. Knowledge of basic QA concepts, including functional and regression testing.

5. Strong analytical skills with a detail-oriented approach to troubleshooting.

6. Good communication and collaboration skills, with a willingness to learn from others.

7. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Mandatory Requirements:

We require that all employees have the following technical capability at their home: High speed internet over 10 Mbps, the ability to plug in directly to the home internet router. These at-home technical requirements are subject to change with any scheduled re-opening of our office locations.
