What You’ll Be Doing:
Position Summary

• Own the India GAAP financial statements and audit schedules
• Liase with the local AP team and work with onshore teams to ensure that India GAAP financial statements are true and fair
• Review other ad-hoc activity during the month to ensure that the month-end numbers are true and fair
• Lead the statutory audit including but not limited to testing, query resolution and financial statement updation
• Review data required for notes to accounts disclosures
• Lead the tax audits
• Work with transfer pricing consultants to ensure a smooth transfer pricing process
• Support the Evolent internal audit team
• 
  Assist the Controller with budgeting and forecasting processes
• Liase and own global accounting tasks assigned to the offshore team including but not limited to accruals, lease and contract reviews, asset accounting, payroll accruals, cap software calculations etc.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations prepared for US GAAP on a monthly basis
• Ensure that all tasks for month end close are completed correctly and on time as per global close calendars
  

Local compliance:

• Prepare and work on local compliances including but not limited to:
• Intercompany Transactions and Reconciliation
• Preparation of Monthly accruals
• Advance tax computation and payments
• STPI compliance
• GST returns
• All other statutory returns and payments
• Tax assessments
• Support ad hoc requests for preparing and providing information as and when required by statutory authorities
  

Required Skills:

Get Hired

• CA fresher or CA’s with 1-2 years of experience
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
• Supreme attention to details
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work independently, organize and plan work effectively to meet goals and deadlines
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively across cross-functional departments
  

Finishing Touches (Preferred):

• Article ship/ prior experience with the Big Four will be a big plus
• Strong written and oral communication skills and ability to convey business requirements and technical needs in a clear, concise, and effective manner
• Chartered Accountant is mandatory, preferably with big 4 article ship experience
  

Mandatory Requirements:
We require that all employees have the following technical capability at their home: High speed internet over 10 Mbps, the ability to plug in directly to the home internet router. These at-home technical requirements are subject to change with any scheduled re-opening of our office locations.
