About the Role

This isnt a standard loan processing role. Its an operational leadership position for someone who is an exceptional loan processor.

Youll be stepping into a fast-paced, high-volume mortgage broking operation. Your job is to make sure everything runs smoothly, from the moment a deal comes in through to post-settlement maintenance.

Youll own the processing pipeline end-to-end, coordinate with support teams, and manage priorities across a busy and growing book. You wont be waiting for someone to tell you what to do next. Youll be the one deciding what needs to happen and ensuring it gets done. When something falls through the cracks, the expectation is that youve already caught it.

This role has a clear trajectory into formal team leadership, and were looking for someone who sees that as a natural progression.

What Youll Be Doing

  • Running the full loan lifecycle, from initial document collection and pre-credit validation through to approval, settlement, and post-settlement maintenance
  • Preparing files for credit assessment, ensuring applications are complete, compliant, and lender-ready before submission
  • Managing deal approvals and leading client communication in the lead-up to settlement
  • Coordinating and assigning tasks across support teams, ensuring deadlines are met and nothing stalls
  • Proactively managing the brokers pipeline by prioritising deals, flagging risks early, and keeping the operation moving without needing to be directed
  • Handling lender liaison including pricing, credit queries, and settlement follow-ups
  • Stepping into an operational leadership capacity, with a clear path to formally owning that function

What You Need to Bring

  • 5 to 10 years of hands-on loan processing experience within the Australian mortgage sector (this is a firm requirement)
  • Strong working proficiency in MyCRM, not surface-level familiarity, but genuine depth from regular use across a meaningful volume of deals
  • Experience with Apply Online and standard document management workflows
  • Sound knowledge of lender processes, credit policies, pricing structures, and settlement procedures

  • Familiarity with complex lending structures including trust, company, and SMSF scenarios
  • Proven ability to work autonomously, managing your own priorities, making decisions with confidence, and escalating only when it genuinely warrants it
  • The professional maturity to operate as a second-in-command, someone who is assured in their knowledge, can navigate difficult conversations, and takes ownership of outcomes
  • Experience coordinating with or managing support teams is highly regarded
  • A bachelors degree

Candidates should be comfortable managing a high-volume pipeline independently and operating in a leadership-adjacent capacity from the outset.
