Senior Data Scientist & Machine Learning Engineer - IIT/NIT/BITS

As a Senior ML Engineer, you will help build the next generation of search and generative AI products, centering around an AI and Natural Language Processing (NLP) based platform that offers "search and discovery" solutions for investors. Through large scale data collection and processing, the platform hosts data on over 26 million companies world-wide and is used by some of the largest financial institutions in the world.
In this role, you will bring new products and features from the ideation stage through to production. You will get to use the latest AI methods and technologies from the information retrieval and generative AI domain.
Responsibilities
- Build the core algorithms and models powering next generation of search and generative AI products
- Follow agile software development practices to consistently drive improvements to our search quality
- Design methods, models, and algorithms that carefully balance tradeoffs between accuracy, availability, throughput, cost, and latency.
- Integrate AI components into a platform on Google Cloud utilizing Python and Typescript
- Evaluate and deploy software tools, processes and metrics
- Work collaboratively with a global team of analysts, engineers, and data scientists to align with the strategic objectives of the company and execute the product roadmap efficiently

Requirements
- 10+ years of technical experience building AI models and implementing them within software applications
- Experience working on Information Retrieval systems
- Experience working with Natural Language Processing (NLP) methodologies and models
- Full stack software development experience, understanding the end-to-end implications of modeling choices
- Have expertise with modern, large-scale distributed systems using cloud native architectures
- Work experience in creating production code. Object-oriented programming should be easy.
