Job Description
As a Global Mobility Specialist, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating the global mobility programs and assignments within our organization. Your primary focus will be on facilitating smooth employee relocations, ensuring compliance with immigration and tax regulations, and providing support to internationally mobile employees. This role requires strong knowledge of global mobility policies, excellent communication skills, and the ability to navigate complex international regulations.
Key Activities And Accountabilities
- Provide global mobility related expertise in the areas of assignment and cost management and projections, relocation, tax, and immigration compliance.
- Serve as the primary point of contact and advise managers with respect to domestic/international relocations, international assignments, and inpatriate/expatriate matters.
- Coordinate and collaborate with other departments such as Payroll, Finance, Legal, Travel, and Compliance.
- Resolution of vendor, employee issues or concerns related to global mobility program and or escalation as needed.
- Supports payroll and tax filing process and responsible to maintain authorization list and documentation.
- Support, drive, and execute on global mobility projects and initiatives as required.
- Review and recommend continuous improvements to global mobility approaches and benefits.
- Work closely with third party vendors such as the relocation company and immigration firm to ensure that timely and high-quality services are provided within agreed service levels.
- Support establishment and administration of company relocation and expat programs based on company goals and industry best practices.
- Other duties and projects as assigned.
- University Degree or related professional qualification
- Five (5) years’ experience in human resources or operations with two (2) years’ experience in global mobility
- Work experience within an international organization with the ability to work with all levels of the organization
- Immigration, tax, and payroll knowledge
- Previous support of global mobility activities for expatriates, domestic and international transfers
- An ability to grasp complex issues, apply logical thinking, and resolve issues
- Working knowledge of all applications in MS Office Suite and other standard desktop applications
- Strong collaborative and interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service
- Project coordination, planning, and implementation skills
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
- SuccessFactors or other HRIS system experience
