Join our dynamic Finance team as an Accountant / Analyst, where you will be a key player in ensuring the financial integrity of our organization. Beyond routine financial tasks, you will be responsible for executing precise bank reconciliations, transaction entries, and adjusting journal entries based on management feedback and operational reports.

As an GL Accountant / Analyst, you will be responsible for:
- Performing bank reconciliations, transaction entries, and adjusting journal entries based on management feedback and operational reports
- Processing and overseeing Amex/credit card reports, Bill.com and sync to NetSuite
- Assisting in monthly close for all entities
- AR and AP functions; follow up with customers for collections and work with the accounting team lead on AP runs
- Recording payroll journals and accrue appropriate compensation and commission
- Preparing journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations and end of month reports
- Assisting in the preparation of statutory financial reports
- Preparing intercompany analysis and reconciliations monthly
- Providing adequate explanations during the department flux meetings with accounting detail and business reasoning
- Assisting on accounting projects with other members of the accounting and finance team or cross-departmental focused on improvements and efficiencies
- Aiding all activities for audits and compliance by preparing materials and schedules
- Gathering and providing requirements to authenticate financial initiatives
- Following GL accounting practices to support rolling forecasting
- Working closely with third parties to ensure the financials meet compliance
- Getting up to speed on technical accounting matters pertaining to revenue recognition
- Ensuring that all the finance processes follow company policy and processes and are within statutory guidelines
- Assisting with preparation on the MIS reports for the organization
- Preparing for tax treatments and bi-annual or yearly adjusting entries
- Working with customers and vendors across time zones
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in commerce or accounting from an established educational institution.
- 6+ years of experience, relevant to working with a multinational company
- 2+ years of audit experience is preferred
- Must have experience in quote to cash, procure to pay and record to report functions
- ERP experience is a requirement (NetSuite and Oracle preferred)
- Strong Excel skills. Exposure to data visualization tools like PowerBI preferred
- Contract management and contract review experience is required
- Ability to review and interpret contracts for revenue and expense recognition
- Experience with research and resolution of accounting standards to ensure compliance
- Excellent written and communication skills in English
- Strong analytical, problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- High desire to gain knowledge and drive for excellence
- Enthusiastic approach to relationship building with co-workers and other teams
- Real passion for continuous improvement of systems and processes
