EY GDS Data and Analytics (D&A) Data Modeller Senior:
We are looking for candidates with a strong technology and data understanding in the data modelling space, having proven delivery capability. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a leading firm as well as a part of a growing Data and Analytics team.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Employing tools and techniques used to understand and analyze how to collect, update, store, and exchange data.
- Defining and employing data modelling and design standards, tools, best practices, and related development methodologies.
- Designing, reviewing, and maintaining data models.
- Performing data analysis activities to capture data requirements and represent them in data model visualization.
- Managing the life cycle of the data model from requirements to design to implementation to maintenance.
- Working closely with data engineers to create optimal physical data models of datasets.
- Identifying areas where data can be used to improve business activities.
- Overall experience of 3-7 years.
- Owning and leading Data Modelling Activities.
- Evaluating data models based on existing systems.
- Applying organization and industry standards to the models.
- Discussing and documenting data modelling requirements with cross-functional teams and business owners.
- Analyzing requirements and providing data models along with source-target mapping.
- Managing end-to-end data model development and providing support to all teams.
- Working with Business SMEs and Product owners to gather requirements.
- Capturing Data mapping, data transformation, and business rules logic using source to target mapping.
- Able to understand and translate business needs to data models supporting long-term solutions.
- Creating conceptual and logical data models based on business and functional requirements.

- Implementing physical data models for a variety of RDBMS and cloud-hosted databases.
- Possessing strong SQL and analytical skills.
- Mastering Visual Paradigm/Erwin data modelling tool.
- Having good communication skills and the ability to influence all stakeholders and end consumers.
- Exposure to multiple cloud data platforms.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent job experience.
- 3+ years of experience in software development.
- 3+ years of experience architecting distributed systems.
