Data Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer with 37 years of relevant experience to design, build, and manage scalable data solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in SQL, cloud-based databases, ETL/ELT pipeline development, and release management. This role plays a key part in enabling analytics, reporting, and business intelligence across the organization.

• 37 years of hands-on experience as a Data Engineer or similar role.
  
• Strong command of SQL and data engineering best practices.
  
• Experience with cloud databases (Snowflake, PostgreSQL).
  
• Solid understanding of data pipelines, ETL/ELT frameworks, and production workflows.
  

Requirements

Advanced SQL Development (MUST HAVE)

• Write, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and reporting.
  
• 
  Ensure query performance and scalability across large datasets.
  

Cloud Database Engineering (MUST HAVE)

• Design, develop, and deploy applications using cloud-based databases such as Snowflake and PostgreSQL.
  
• Implement best practices for schema design, indexing, and query optimization.
  

Data Pipeline Development (MUST HAVE)

• Build and maintain robust extract transform and/or load (ETL or ELT) pipelines to integrate data from multiple sources.

• Automate workflows for data ingestion, transformation, and loading into target systems.
  

GOOD TO HAVE SKILLS

• Knowledge on any cloud service provider is preferred - AWS, Azure, GCP, Oracle, etc.
  
• Work with AWS services (e.g., S3, Redshift, Lambda, Glue) to design and optimize data solutions.
  
• Ensure security, scalability, and cost efficiency in cloud deployments.
  
• Exposure to containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration tools (like airflow, argo, etc.)
  
• Scheduler knowledge.
  
• Deployment and release management cycles.
