As a Director, HRBP you will be responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management, acting as a strategic partner to drive organizational performance. You will be responsible for providing guidance on talent management, organizational design, and change management while fostering a positive culture. Key responsibilities include managing a team of Regional HR Business Partners, coaching local leadership, providing guidance to leadership outside of the region, managing employee relations, and leveraging HR metrics to inform business decisions.
What Youll Do
- Leadership: Manage a team of Regional HR Business Partners within India
- Strategic Partnership: Act as a strategic partner to regional leadership, advising not just on policy compliance, but on the best ways to foster engagement and resolve issues in alignment with business strategy.
- Enable Leadership Competence: Partner with regional leaders to build their skills in managing people, with a focus on engagement and resolving ER issues constructively.
- Organizational Design & Talent Management: Partner with Global Director HR and Global HRBPs to support the identification and development of high-potential talent within the region, linking this to engagement and retention strategies. Provide regional influence on organizational design, succession planning and talent management activities to ensure high performance across India. Support major organizational changes (e.g, restructuring, new leadership, mergers/acquisitions) by anticipating resistance and recommending approaches to sustain engagement.
- Employee Relations & Compliance: Proactively address employee relations risks, ensuring compliance but also fair and consistent treatment. Provide input into policy changes based on regional employee dynamics, ensuring policies are both compliant and competitive.
- Data-Driven Decisions: Advise business leaders using data-driven analysis of employee engagement and attrition trends, translating insights into actionable recommendations for regional talent strategies.
- Stakeholder Management: Act as a coach to senior management, facilitating organizational changes and performance management
- 10+ years HR experience, with at least 4 years as an HRBP
- 4+ years experience managing a team
- Exceptional communication and influencing skills
- Highly organized; able to multi-task and prioritize without sacrificing quality
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and take initiative to proactively handle issues
- Deep experience in HR compliance, employment laws, labor laws and regulatory requirements
- Familiarity with changes to the India Labor Codes
- Detail oriented, with strong organizational and documentation skills
- Able to travel approximately 10-20%
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications including Word, Power Point, and Excel
