Data Scientist - Logistics Optimization

What role you will play in team: You will be part of a team leveraging data science to optimize FedEx's global logistics network. Your work will directly impact efficiency, cost reduction, and customer satisfaction.

What you will do: You’ll develop and implement data-driven solutions to improve routing algorithms, predict delivery times, and enhance overall operational efficiency within FedEx’s logistics operations.

Key responsibility:

• Develop and implement machine learning models for route optimization and delivery time prediction.
• Analyze large datasets to identify areas for improvement in logistics operations.
• Work with various data sources including GPS data, weather data, and historical delivery information.
• Develop data visualizations to communicate findings and insights to stakeholders.
  
• Collaborate with operations teams to implement data-driven solutions.
• Continuously monitor and improve model performance.

Required Qualification and Skills:

• Master's degree in a quantitative field such as Data Science, Operations Research, or Statistics.
• Experience in developing and deploying machine learning models in a production environment.
• Proficiency in Python or R programming languages.
• Strong understanding of optimization algorithms and techniques.
