About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer with a deep understanding of loan management and servicing platforms to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in developing and maintaining loan servicing modules on enterprise-level Loan Management System (LMS) platforms. This role involves designing, implementing, and optimizing complex loan processing functionalities, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. The Senior Software Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative features, troubleshoot issues, and improve existing systems to support Boltins commitment to delivering exceptional loan servicing solutions. The position offers an excellent opportunity to work on large-scale projects that impact the financial services industry globally, particularly in consumer and commercial lending sectors.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of overall software development experience with 4+ years hands-on in loan management / loan servicing platforms
- Proven experience in developing loan servicing modules on enterprise LMS platforms
- Strong knowledge of consumer lending products such as personal loans, two-wheelers, auto loans, and home loans, as well as commercial lending including SME, LAP, equipment finance, and working capital
- Exposure to Australian vehicle and equipment finance—chattel mortgage, finance lease, hire purchase, and novated lease servicing
- Experience with settlement processing, payout figure calculation, and disbursement handling
- Expertise in building repayment schedule engines supporting EMI, P&I, balloon, interest-only, and irregular repayment structures
- Hands-on experience with payment processing systems including direct debit, ECS/NACH/auto-debit, with dishonour handling and retry logic
- Knowledge of arrears and overdue management, including automated dunning, escalation, and hardship variation processes
- Familiarity with collections workflows such as bucket-wise staging, field collections, legal referral, and enforcement tracking
- Understanding of NPA classification, repossession, asset surrender, and security enforcement procedures
- Experience with write-off processes, provisioning, deficiency balance management, and recovery posting
- Knowledge of charge and hypothecation registration, search, and release processes

- Proficiency in regulatory reporting, credit bureau integration, and maintaining compliance-driven audit trails
The Senior Software Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust loan management modules within Boltins enterprise LMS platform. Key responsibilities include implementing features related to loan origination, servicing, and recovery, ensuring they adhere to industry standards and regulatory requirements. The role involves collaborating with product managers, business analysts, and other development teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
Specific duties include developing and optimizing repayment schedule engines supporting various repayment structures, integrating payment processing systems, and automating arrears and overdue management workflows. The engineer will also be involved in implementing collections workflows, legal and enforcement tracking, and asset management functionalities such as repossession and security enforcement.
Additionally, the candidate will work on regulatory compliance features, including reporting, credit bureau integration, and audit trail management. Troubleshooting, bug fixing, and performance tuning of existing modules will be ongoing tasks to ensure high system reliability and efficiency. The role also requires staying updated with industry best practices and emerging technologies to continuously improve the platforms capabilities.
