Job Description
The Director Data/AIOps will be focused on problem solving ,responsible for integrating AI and data analytics into our Infra operations to improve efficiency, predictability, and performance. This is a hands-on engineering position. The incumbent will need to design, develop, integrate solutions at enterprise scale to meet IT operational efficiencies. Cloud native tech stack knowledge and expertise is essential. The Director will be responsible for leading the organization as well as focusing on continuous development through training and up-skilling. The Director will collaborate with both business and IT technical teams to define data operations & AI operations engineering best practices, innovation, improvement, standards, and templates. This leader will also ensure the team is appropriately sized, skilled and has capacity for the initiatives and projects.
Responsibilities
Leadership and Management:
- Build high performance teams, lead the design, development, and deployment of Data/AIOps solutions for enterprise IT operations.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture.
- Develop and execute strategies to meet business goals and objectives.
- DataOps:
- Develop and implement DataOps practices to streamline data workflows.
- Establish modern cloud native data integration patterns and fully automated efficient data pipelines and workflows.
- Facilitate seamless data integration and accessibility for operational analytics.
- Ensure data quality, governance, and compliance across the organization.
- Lead the data engineering and analytics teams to optimize data pipelines.
- AIOps:
- Drive the adoption of AIOps to enhance operational efficiency through automation and AI.
- Implement AI-driven monitoring and analytics to proactively identify and resolve issues.
- Integrate AIOps solutions with existing infrastructure and DataOps practices.
- Monitor and optimize the performance of IT infrastructure using AI and data analytics.
- Implement predictive analytics to preemptively address potential IT issues
- Strategic Planning and Execution:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to align technology strategies with business objectives.
- Identify and evaluate emerging technologies to keep the organization at the forefront of innovation.
- Manage budgets, resources, and timelines for engineering projects.
- Performance Monitoring and Optimization:
- Establish KPIs and metrics to monitor the performance of infrastructure, DataOps, and AIOps systems.
- Continuously optimize processes and systems to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including software development, Product and Platform management, and operations.
- Communicate technical concepts and project statuses effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
- Foster strong relationships with external partners and vendors.

Qualifications: -
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a leadership role managing infrastructure, DataOps, and AIOps teams.
- Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
- Proficiency in data management technologies and practices.
- Knowledge of AI/ML frameworks and their application in operational contexts.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Certification in relevant cloud platforms or AI/ML technologies.
- Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, and Kafka.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
- Understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
