Job Description

Industry & Sector: Fragrance & Consumer Goods manufacturing and distribution of perfumes, personal care and home fragrance products. This role sits at the commercial front line, driving retailer and distributor acquisition and expanding footprint across India through field sales and customer engagement.
Primary Title: Business Development Executive (Entry Level)
About The Opportunity
Join an agile team within the fragrance and consumer-goods space focused on retail and B2B expansion across India. This on-site entry-level role is ideal for energetic freshers who want hands-on sales experience, structured training, and rapid progression into field and account-management roles.
Role & Responsibilities
  • Identify and generate new leads through cold calling, walk-ins, and local market outreach to build a qualified sales pipeline.
  • Qualify prospects, book meetings and product demonstrations with retailers, distributors and trade partners.
  • Manage daily field sales activities and maintain accurate records in the CRM system; update status and next actions promptly.
  • Support execution of local sales campaigns, in-store merchandising, and sampling drives to drive trials and conversions.
  • Follow up on quotations, negotiate terms within guidelines, and assist in closing initial orders to achieve monthly targets.
  • Prepare concise sales reports and market feedback for the regional sales lead to refine territory strategy.
Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have
  • Bachelors degree in any discipline or equivalent educational qualification.
  • Strong comfort with cold calling, lead generation and door-to-door field outreach.
  • Hands-on experience or familiarity with CRM management (updating leads, activities, follow-ups).
  • Basic proficiency in MS Excel for tracking leads and preparing simple sales reports.
  • Willingness to work on-site with frequent travel across assigned territory.
  • Professional fluency in English and at least one regional Indian language preferred for customer interactions.

Preferred
  • Familiarity with retail sales operations and merchandising.
  • Prior internship or exposure to FMCG/consumer goods sales environment.
  • Experience using Zoho CRM or Salesforce.
