Job Description
Role Overview
The Retail Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving EBO & Franchise (COCO + FOFO) expansion The role focuses on annual business planning, retail expansion strategy, franchise development, and performance oversight, ensuring sustainable topline growth and profitability across the retail network.
Key Responsibilities
Business Planning & Channel Growth
- Build and deliver the annual business plan for the EBO channel, covering both topline and bottom-line objectives.
- Drive channel productivity, store-level profitability, and ROI optimization.
- Track performance against business targets and expansion milestones.
Retail Expansion (EBO & Franchise)
- Drive new store expansion across targeted malls, high streets, and cities under COCO and FOFO models.
- Develop and scale franchise partners across states, with a strong focus on FOFO-led priority expansion.
- Conduct location feasibility studies, catchment analysis, and revenue assessments for new EBOs.
- Ensure on-time new store openings through coordination with landlords, malls, and internal stakeholders.
- Negotiate lease rentals, franchise commercials, and escalation terms in line with brand profitability benchmarks.
Store Performance & Governance
- Review EBO and franchise store performance against sales, productivity, and profitability KPIs.
- Identify underperforming stores and work with stakeholders on corrective action plans.
- Ensure adherence to brand standards, commercial norms, and franchise agreements.
Vendor Payments & Commercial Compliance
- Oversee timely processing and closure of vendor payments related to store setup, maintenance, and ongoing retail operations.
- Coordinate with Accounts and Finance teams to ensure accurate invoicing, approvals, and on-time disbursements.
- Monitor vendor contracts, commercials, and payment schedules to ensure compliance with agreed terms.
- Address vendor escalations and ensure smooth vendor relationships across the EBO network.
Customer Experience & Brand Excellence
- Partner with Marketing and Product teams to enhance:
- Visual merchandising standards
- In-store shopping experience
- Store throughput and conversion

- Experience:
- 710 years in retail with strong exposure to EBO and Franchise expansion
- Proven experience in COCO & FOFO store rollouts
- Experience managing performance of 4050+ stores
- Preferred Exposure:
- Apparel /lifestyle brands
- Experience with premium or mid-premium retail formats
- Strong understanding of retail real estate and franchise economics
- Strong connect with Mall team and Area Consultants
