Finance Manager

About The Role
We are seeking a dynamic Finance Manager with 48 years of experience, preferably in startup or fast-growing environments within manufacturing, logistics, or supply chain ecosystems.
The ideal candidate is a Chartered Accountant (CA) with a strong inclination toward business enablement, not just accounting or compliance. This role requires a sharp analytical mindset, hands-on ownership of financial operations, and the ability to partner with leadership to drive growth, efficiency, and financial discipline in a complex operational environment.
Key Responsibilities

• Financial Analysis & Business Insights
• Analyze financial and operational data to uncover trends, risks, and growth opportunities.
• Track and evaluate business performance against budgets, forecasts, and KPIs.
• Develop and maintain MIS dashboards and reports that convert financial data into actionable business insights.
• Support leadership with scenario analysis, unit economics, margin analysis, and profitability insights.
• Financial Planning & Control
• Own end-to-end budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
• Monitor actuals vs. plan, identify variances, and recommend corrective actions.
• Strengthen financial controls while maintaining agility in a startup environment.
• Drive cost optimization initiatives without compromising business scalability.
• Accounting, Compliance & Governance
• Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual closures.
• Manage statutory compliances including GST, TDS, income tax, audits, and regulatory filings.
• Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, bankers, and external stakeholders.
• Ensure adherence to accounting standards, internal policies, and governance frameworks.
• Cash Flow & Working Capital Management
• Manage cash flows, liquidity planning, and working capital optimization.
  
• Track receivables, payables, and credit cycles to ensure business continuity.
• Support fund utilization planning and investor-level financial readiness.
• Collaboration & Business Partnership
• Act as a finance business partner to operations, sales, and leadership teams.
• Translate financial data into simple, decision-ready narratives for non-finance stakeholders.
• Support strategic initiatives such as new business launches, pricing models, and scaling decisions.
• Continuously improve finance processes, systems, and reporting structures.
  

Qualifications

• Chartered Accountant (CA) mandatory.
• 48 years of experience in finance, accounting, FP&A, or business finance roles.
• Prior experience in startup, high-growth, or operationally complex environments preferred.
• Exposure to manufacturing, logistics, or supply chain businesses is a strong plus.
  

Skills & Competencies

• Strong understanding of financial planning, budgeting, MIS, and financial modeling.
• Hands-on experience in statutory compliance, taxation, and audit management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced functions); experience with ERP systems is a plus.
• Data-driven mindset with the ability to link financial metrics to business outcomes.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.
