Senior Account Executive

**Position:** Senior Accountant

**Industry:** Automotive & Metal Parts Manufacturing

**Location: ** Faridabad

**Education: ** Minimum Graduate in Commerce (B. Com) / MBA (Finance) / CA preferred

**Experience:** Minimum 10 years of experience in accounting & finance in a manufacturing environment.

Role Overview:

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing end-to-end accounting and financial operations of the company, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations, accurate financial reporting, and effective cost control. The role demands strong hands-on experience in accounting systems, manufacturing cost structures, and financial management, along with leadership in guiding junior accountants.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Accounting & Reporting

Maintain accurate books of accounts in compliance with Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS) and Companies Act.

Prepare and finalize monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).

Ensure timely closing of accounts and reconciliation of all ledgers.

Coordinate with statutory auditors, internal auditors, and tax auditors.

2. Accounts Payable & Receivable Management

Oversee vendor payments, supplier account reconciliation, and credit terms management.

Manage customer billing, collection of receivables, and debtor follow-up.

Monitor aging reports and implement measures to improve working capital.

3. Costing & Inventory Accounting

Perform product costing, variance analysis, and cost allocation specific to manufacturing processes.

Ensure accurate valuation of raw material, WIP, and finished goods inventory.

Monitor scrap, wastage, and consumption patterns to highlight inefficiencies.

Collaborate with production and supply chain teams for cost optimization.

4. Taxation & Compliance

Handle all direct and indirect tax matters: GST, TDS, Income Tax, PF, ESI.

Prepare and file GST returns, TDS returns, and advance tax payments.

Liaise with government authorities and consultants for statutory compliance.

Ensure compliance with MCA filings, ROC returns, and other regulatory requirements.

5. Budgeting & Financial Planning

Prepare annual budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.

Monitor and control departmental budgets, highlighting deviations.

Support management in strategic planning and investment decisions.

6. Treasury & Cash Flow Management

Manage day-to-day fund flow and banking operations.

Forecast cash requirements and maintain optimum liquidity.

Handle working capital loans, term loans, LC/BG facilities with banks.

7. ERP & Systems Management

Hands-on working knowledge of ERP/accounting systems (SAP, Tally, or equivalent).

Ensure automation and efficiency in accounting processes.

Generate MIS reports as required by management.

8. Team Leadership & Coordination

Supervise and guide junior accountants and finance staff.

Conduct training on accounting standards, compliance, and system updates.

Ensure smooth coordination between accounts, purchase, stores, and production departments.

9. Internal Controls & Risk Management

Implement and monitor internal financial controls (IFC).

Minimize risks related to fraud, compliance lapses, and financial misreporting.

Regularly review SOPs to align with industry best practices.

10. Stakeholder Support

Support top management in decision-making through financial insights.

Coordinate with external auditors, consultants, and stakeholders.

Provide timely financial data for board meetings and investor reporting.

Key Skills & Competencies:

Strong knowledge of Indian accounting standards, taxation, and compliance.

Experience in manufacturing sector accounting (automotive/engineering preferred).

Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP / Oracle / Tally Prime).

Analytical skills for cost control and financial planning.

Leadership and team management ability.

High integrity, attention to detail, and problem-solving orientation.
