Job Description
- You will be responsible for ensuring that the products produced meet quality standards in order to minimize quality costs and maximize customer satisfaction. Your main tasks will include ensuring incoming materials meet required quality standards, identifying and resolving quality issues promptly, supporting new product introductions, and collaborating with the team to implement best practices that focus on defect prevention and continuous improvements. You will be managing customer-specific requirements, offering technical support, and working on multiple highly complex major projects independently, with minimal supervision.
Your key responsibilities will involve managing all quality-related issues within the manufacturing team, identifying root causes of product quality issues and implementing permanent corrective actions, resolving quality issues with internal and external stakeholders efficiently, carrying out product and process auditing, monitoring and reporting on quality-related key performance indicators, ensuring compliance with the Quality Management system, writing product test procedures, assisting with training of quality awareness, reporting on Key Performance Indicators, promoting continuous improvement techniques, participating in cross-functional teams, managing Supplier Key Performance Indicators, leading quality audits, keeping up with manufacturing and engineering trends, contributing to continuous improvement activities, supporting and leading process improvement activities, conducting benchmarking studies, attending meetings, and tracking project progress.
You should possess substantial initiative and judgment in work methods, have knowledge of quality systems and measurement, be familiar with Advanced Product Quality Planning, Production Part Approval Process, Failure Mode and Effect Analysis, Lean Manufacturing, ISO standards, engineering drawings, and manufacturing processes. Additionally, you should have good communication, negotiation, problem-solving, team working, analytical, and planning skills. A Btech manufacturing/engineering degree with a minimum of 2 years of experience in high volume manufacturing, preferably automotive, as well as experience in Quality Assurance Six Sigma/Lean Manufacturing and dealing with customers and suppliers, are preferred qualifications for this role.,
