Senior Accountant

Financial Accounting & Reporting

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS and company policies.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of general ledger, trial balance, and reconciliations.
• Manage month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Support external and internal audits, ensuring timely completion.

Project & Cost Accounting

• Monitor and control project costs, revenues, and profitability.
• Review project budgets, variations, and cost allocations.
• Maintain accurate records of project expenses, subcontractor payments, and client billings.

• Analyze project cash flows and report variances against budget.

Accounts Payable & Receivable

• Oversee supplier invoices, subcontractor bills, and employee claims for accuracy and compliance with company policies.
• Ensure timely collection of receivables and follow-up with clients for outstanding payments.
• Maintain proper aging analysis of payables and receivables.

Compliance & Taxation

• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT laws, timely filing of VAT returns, and maintaining supporting documentation.
• Liaise with banks, auditors, and government authorities as required.

Treasury & Cash Flow Management

• Prepare cash flow forecasts to ensure adequate liquidity for project execution.
• Monitor bank facilities (LCs, performance bonds, guarantees) and coordinate with banks.
• Manage petty cash, project imprests, and employee reimbursements.

Team Leadership & Coordination

• Supervise junior accountants and ensure accuracy of their work.
• Provide guidance and training on accounting procedures, systems, and controls.
• Coordinate with project managers, procurement, and contracts teams for financial matters.
