Financial Controller

We are working with a rapidly growing renewable energy company who is seeking a Financial Controller, responsible for overseeing and optimizing financial operations and managing a team. We are seeking a talented individual who has renewables background, experience in project financing, Shareholder agreement and management delegation, forecasting and financial modelling. Position will be based in Gurgaon!

Key Responsibilities (in a nutshell):

• Financial Control: Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and analysis for renewable energy projects in Gurgaon.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure the agreed terms and conditions of the Shareholders Agreement.
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop and maintain project budgets, forecasts, and cost control measures to ensure project profitability.
• Cost Management: Monitor project costs, analyse variances, and implement corrective actions to maintain project budget adherence.

• Project Performance Analysis: Conduct regular project performance assessments, including financial metrics, key performance indicators (KPIs), and cash flow analysis.
• Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, working closely with project teams to develop risk management strategies.
• Project Controls: Establish and maintain project control procedures, including progress tracking, cost estimation, change management, and reporting.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
• Reporting and Compliance: Prepare accurate and timely project reports, financial statements, and compliance documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance project control efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements:

• 5-10 years experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Bachelors degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
• Proven experience in financial control or financial management, preferably within the renewable energy sector.
• Strong understanding of project financial management principles, cost control, and performance analysis.
• Ability to lead and develop a team, fostering a collaborative and results-driven culture.
