Job Overview

Responsibilities require the individual to possess functional expertise to execute the raw material replenishment strategies for North America operations. It also includes understanding the ordering process for raw materials and work with business leads to optimize the ordering process.

Job Responsibilities

75 % - Raw Material Network Planning:

Identify replenishment process gaps, communicate to required business partners, and acquire information needed to eliminate gaps in material replenishment performance

Collaborate with Sourcing buyers and brand planners to develop and implement order target qty and get alignment from Sourcing and Operating units (OUs)

Ensure the availability of raw materials in the network on time to avoid plant shut down situation

Provide Raw Material Write Off risk assessment for specific OUs and collabarte with brand planners

Manage inbound and outbound planning for raw materials through warehouse. Manage the age process for raw materials. Ensure all the operational challenges are resolved

Work with Supply planners on production plans and call out risk from raw material standpoint

Assist in packaging transition, vendor transition, new product launches on a timely manner

Execute raw material (RM) tie out plans for packaging and ingredient projects proactively and communicate the risk and mitigation plans to the OUs in collaboration with brand planners

Resolve Vendor queries related to RM forecast, order consolidation, order changes, short lead orders

Participate in weekly/monthly calls with Suppliers and Stakeholders on operational metrics

Active participation in Brand execution meetings and provide decision making information to mitigate risk in collaboration with brand planners and PLPM to execute, new product launches, BOM setups and project changes. Ensure daily/weekly/monthly activities to replenish the raw materials are completed

Maintain/validate planning parameters for Raw material warehouse (RMW) location in SAP

Conduct material maintenance activity (health checks) for RMN locations every month

5% - Business Results:

Maintain optimum inventory levels & Safety stocks for all materials, to achieve optimal inventory target and maintain seamless service to the plants.

Education:

Minimum Degree Requirements: Bachelors

Preferred Degree Requirements: Masters

Preferred Major Area of Study: Operations/Supply Chain

Required Professional Certifications: Good to have

Preferred Professional Certifications: CPIM/CSCP

Experience

Minimum years of related experience required: 2-4 Years

Preferred years of related experience : 3 Plus Years

Example:

-Demonstrated inventory management, customer service, and production forecasting skills

-Can prioritize and complete multiple tasks on tight deadlines

SAP-ERP: R/3, Experience in SAP PP, MM or SCM module.

Good analytical ability to translate data into actionable information

Good understanding of inventory management concepts and tools

Strong Excel skills (ie skilled at pivot table, charts and graph creation)

Ability to develop and build rapport at all levels within the organization.

Ability to execute, multi-task, and deliver on commitments

Deliver Outstanding results:

Completes tasks, activities and projects in a timely and effective manner. Communicates progress on projects with others to ensure overall alignment. Provides ideas and input to help team achieve greater result. May lead a defined portion of a project. Assumes personal initiative and accountability for results, performance and behaviors. Builds foundational skills and expertise in key systems and tools critical for success on the job (i.e. SAP, BW, advanced excel reporting and analysis, etc)

Communication

Ability to negotiate solutions between parties and effectively communicate with various levels and functions through-out the organization. Clearly articulates views in written and verbal discussions. Excellent English skills are a must.

Problem Solving / Analytical skills

Ability to collect and analyze data quickly and efficiently as it relates to material replenishment and inventory control. Can identify issues and provide ideas/solutions for resolution.
