The Giant Eagle GCC in Bangalore is our global capability centre. Our team of more than 350 members at the GCC enables us to expand internal capabilities in the areas such as data analytics, merchandising and eCommerce, quality engineering, and automation to generate insights for faster decision-making and help us accelerate our business strategy. Our team in India plays a pivotal role in helping the company transition to new ways of working by redefining the food and grocery shopping experience for over 4.6 million customers.

Position Summary

Proficient individual responsible for overseeing an organizations financial operations. Finance manager is expected to strategize, plan, and make informed decisions regarding site accounting, financial reporting, budgeting and risk management. Should have a deep understanding of finance, accounting concepts and compliance regulations. Financial manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring Giant Eagle Indias sound financial health and minimize risks.

• Ensures business processes, administration, and financial management.
• Maintains accurate accounting system.
• Reviews and processes payments for GE India site.
• Ensures all compliance requirements are strictly followed and all necessary filings to different authorities are done well before deadlines
• Ensures financial prudence is maintained
• Leads planning and budgeting activities with business partners to achieve business and company goals.
• Reviews financial reports.
• Reviews account reconciliations and compliance dashboard.
• Monitors financial details to ensure legal compliance.
• Analyzes revenue, expenses, cash flows, and balance sheets.
• Assists management to make financial decisions.
• Maintains an accurate filing and record keeping system for all financial statements and company documents.
• Participates in the execution of changes to procedures, policies, and systems to facilitate expansion, compliance, and scaling of the business.

• 5+ years experience in a financial managerial position with a proven record of success
• Sound decision making skills based on accurate and timely analyses

• Exceptional interpersonal communication and leadership skills, with the ability to communicate and manage staff at all levels
• Ability to lead by example and demonstrate a strong sense of integrity, ethics and dependability

• Ability to work under pressure
• Ability to collaborate with top management to organize, plan and achieve company financial goals
• Advanced computer software skills, including Excel and financial reporting software
• Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (CA preferred)
