Job Description
- As the Head of Analytics & Competitive Intelligence at Glenmark Pharmaceuticals, you will be responsible for analyzing the pharma market to identify gaps and opportunities, particularly in the innovative space. Your role will involve preparing market performance overviews for Glenmark's competition across all dosage forms and generating high-value ideas for proprietary products in global markets. You will evaluate new unique opportunities using multiple databases and provide recommendations for potential additions to the portfolio. Additionally, conducting risk assessments of the existing portfolio with suitable mitigation strategies will be a key aspect of your responsibilities.
You will be required to prepare business cases using standard forecasting tools for investments in product or portfolio acquisition, collaborating with business and Product Development teams for both in-house and in-licensed assets. Supporting regional portfolio leads in developing product grids for the next five years, factoring in complexity from stakeholders such as R&D, Regulatory Affairs, Manufacturing, Clinical, and Intellectual Property, will also be part of your role. It is essential to ensure that the selected grid remains relevant and in good standing through regular reviews.
Your role will require expertise in forecasting for New Chemical Entities (NCE), generic, and differentiated generic products. You should be able to incorporate qualitative inputs into quantitative models effectively and have a deep understanding of market access, reimbursement, and the competitive environment in major markets. Strong medical knowledge in various therapy areas, especially in Dermatology, Respiratory, and Oncology, will be advantageous. Additionally, possessing strong communication, negotiation, and influencing skills, along with proficiency in business analytics and short to medium-term planning, will be crucial for success in this role.
A good understanding of business operations management, identification of new innovative/specialty/505(b)2 opportunities, and knowledge of IP issues in pharmaceuticals, including Hatch-Waxman, will be beneficial. Familiarity with current regulatory processes for relevant markets and strong CMC knowledge for various dosage forms, including oral solids, injectable, and dermatology, are desirable skills.
