Location: Hyderabad, India
Our client, a US-based Pharma/Biotech organization, is establishing its Global Capability Center (GCC) in Hyderabad. We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect SAP Finance Systems to support and enhance SAP-based finance processes in a GMP-regulated life sciences environment. Pharma domain experience is mandatory.
This hands-on role will focus on designing, optimizing, and supporting SAP Finance, Controlling, and Project Systems modules to enable compliant, efficient, and scalable financial operations. The successful candidate will act as the resident expert in SAP Finance solutions, collaborating across multiple functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect, configure, and support SAP FICO (GL, AR, AP, AA, PS, CO-CCA, CO-PCA, COPA) and Project Systems modules for GMP and R&D initiatives.

- Design and implement finance processes in SAP aligned with GxP/GMP standards.
- Ensure SAP PS integration with FICO and fixed asset management for end-to-end visibility and compliance.
- Support compliance and audit readiness in alignment with SOX, GxP, and FDA financial regulations.
- Collaborate with adjacent functions (EWM, PTP, Pharma Labeling) to ensure accurate financial integration.
- Contribute to a Clean Core approach, minimizing customizations and leveraging SAP BTP for extensibility.
- Participate in fit-gap analysis, blueprint workshops, solution design, and stakeholder approvals.
- Support monthly/quarterly close, internal controls, intercompany processes, and asset accounting.
- Create and maintain documentation: functional specs, SOPs, test scripts, and training materials.
- Provide ongoing user support, training, and change management.
- Support process harmonization and compliant financial practices across global and local reporting structures.
Requirements:
- Hands-on experience in SAP FICO and Project Systems, including S/4HANA.
- Prior experience with full lifecycle SAP FICO implementations, including US localization.
- Experience in life sciences, Pharma, or Biotech environments (mandatory).
- Understanding of US GAAP, tax processing, cost center structures, and regulatory compliance.
- Experience working in cross-regional models with offshore teams.
- Solid grasp of Clean Core principles and exposure to Fiori-based solutions.
- Strong communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Knowledge of clinical trial accounting, transfer pricing, intercompany billing, and labeling/supply chain integration in pharma.
- Exposure to SAP Central Finance, SAP Group Reporting, or SAP BTP extensions.
- CPA or MBA in Finance is a plus.
