Vessel Performance Analyst

Lila Shipping is an integrated vessel owner and operator that maintains tonnage in the dry, wet and container spaces. The group’s origins date back to 1992 when the company’s principals first began to trade older tonnage. In 2007 the principals acquired their first assets for commercial trading and chartering and have since then owned and operated a diverse fleet of over 40 ships. Our experienced commercial and management team serves our clients out of strategically placed offices in nine countries throughout the world and routinely operate up to Capesize dry bulk vessels, VLCCs and Post-Panamax containers.
Job Summary: As “Vessel Performance Analyst” your duties will include –

• Data Management
• Approve / Reject reports (Telegram validation) in Danaos system.
• Liaise with vessel for maintaining error free reporting system
• Co-operate with technical and Commercial Operation team to maintain the Voyages in the Danaos.
• Liaise with the Danaos technical team for any support that is needed.
• Performance Management
• Check and update reports, passages & voyages in Danaos system
• To monitor daily Vessel Noon reports and performances
• Monitor speed / F.O consumptions / Lube Oils
• Monitor Vessel Budgets, KPI’s, Variances and highlight areas of concern
• Prepare Analytical reports of all above on a regular basis

• Commercial performance
• Keep the TC terms updated after liaising with the operation team- Chartering team.
• Prepare “End of Voyage” reports
• Prepare Monthly and Quarterly performance reports and consumption trends
• Admin and Business development work scope
• Process optimization/development – help in continuous improvement in the team’s various processes
• Participate in the development of performance management tools
• Performance monitoring applicatio
• Telegram forms and other voyage related forms
• Training modules
• Updating in-house quality system documentation on vessel performance services

  Sailing Background – 3rd/4th Engineer with expertise in vessel performance management
• Proficient in computer skills, particularly MS Office
• Adept at handling and analyzing extensive datasets
• Effective problem-solving and analytical thinking capabilities, Expertise in performance analysis, data analytics.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and committed to continuous learning and development
• Innovative and capable of out-of-the-box thinking
• Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills
• Hands-on experience with visualization tools such as Power BI/Tableau
• Exhibits a high sense of responsibility and accountability
• Leadership qualities and proficient decision-making skills

• Possesses a Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Finance, Business Analytics, or a related field
