Job Description
- As a candidate for the position in Mumbai, India, your role will involve performing inspection, installation, and assembly of various equipment such as pumps, gearbox, propulsion system, and fabrication jobs. You should have good exposure to welding and gas cutting equipment. It will be important for you to communicate effectively with your superior for briefing on fitter and welding works. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining the workshop, plant equipment, tools in good order, and ensuring good housekeeping in all job locations. You will also need to ensure that all testing and monitoring equipment/instruments are identified and maintained in good order. Reading and interpreting drawings, manuals, and code specifications will be a crucial part of your responsibilities. You will be expected to improve operational efficiency through effective control of resources, managing quality, and meeting delivery deadlines. Cost control, job cost monitoring, minimizing claims, reworks, and customer complaints will also be part of your responsibilities. Closing jobs within timelines without any customer complaints will be essential. Furthermore, you will be responsible for implementing safety systems and standards to create a safe working environment.
Qualifications Required:
- Technical qualification, ITI is preferred
- 2 to 5 years of experience in a reputed fabrication workshop
- Class approved welder certification is an added advantage
- Basic computer literacy is essential
General Requirements:
- Fluent in English & Local Language for speaking and report writing
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Demonstrate professionalism, independence, and efficiency in work
