Job Description

Role: Associate People Operations (Recruitment)

CTC: INR 6.5 LPA+ (based on experience)

Location: Bangalore/Delhi

Role Summary

As a recruitment associate , you will lead efforts at GBL, a 100 full-time employee company with offices in India, US, and Latin America, to amp up their recruitment efforts. You will be housed in the People Operations team and work closely with operational experts to improve GBLs talent pipeline and conversion for roles across research, marketing, operations, growth, tech, and engineering.

You will be part of a rapidly growing team of smart, purpose-driven, and motivated people, which will give you a chance to try new things, take initiative, make mistakes, and grow.

Who are you

Ideally, you have (The areas of knowledge and expertise that matter most for this role):

  • At least 3-5 years of work experience as a recruiter (either an in-house recruiter or a staffing agency recruiter)
  • Experience conducting interviews, reference checks, assessments
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong decision-making skills
  • Bonus: Familiarity with HR databases, Applicant Tracking Systems, and Candidate Management Systems (CMS)
  • Bonus: BS/MS/MBA/PGDM in Human Resources Management

What will you do (areas that will play to your strength and all the responsibilities we will trust you with):

Strategic Talent Acquisition

  • Develop strategies and execute initiatives & policies to ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.
  • Innovate on GBLs recruiting strategy, keeping a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion lens.
  • Audit recruitment and onboarding processes to ensure alignment with goals while achieving efficiencies.
  • Cultivate relationships with internal leadership/Talent Business Partners to understand overall business strategy and ensure alignment with the job requirement.
  • Work closely with Hiring Managers to ensure alignment with the job requirement
  • Collaborate with various teams internally to ensure smooth execution of recruitment and support hiring leads wherever necessary.

Managing the Talent Acquisition Process

  • Manage recruitment email inbox with high-volume recruiting requests and questions.
  • Update and standardize job descriptions to align with organizational culture and needs, ensuring key-word alignment with job needs

    Develop strategies and execute initiatives & policies to ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.
  • Utilize diversity sourcing strategies, create talent pipeline/data pool for future hiring
  • Prepare recruitment materials and post jobs to appropriate job boards/newspapers/colleges/groups, professional networks, referrals, social media, etc.
  • Drive the campus connect initiative at a strategic level - choice of campuses, mode of engagement, percentage of hires from campus, etc.
  • Manage the end-to-end planning and execution of the hiring process - requisition process, interview stages, compensation fitment, reduction in candidate attrition, and closure of offers

Providing a premium candidate experience

  • Support work on increasing brand awareness and take a thoughtful and timely approach to working with all potential candidates.
  • Screen candidates resumes and job applications. Assess applicants relevant knowledge, skills, soft skills, experience, and aptitudes.
  • Conduct interviews using various reliable recruiting and selection tools/methods to filter candidates within timelines
  • Support onboarding of new employees - negotiating compensation packages,discussing GBL perks and benefits
  • Act as a GBL point of contact for prospective candidates and behave in accordance with GBL values and with professionalism

Process improvement and innovation

  • Stay updated with the industry trends and emerging technologies and constantly innovate and apply recruiting best practices, introduce tech interventions to smoothen recruitment processes (such as the use of AI to screen candidates)
  • Maintain and update applicant tracking system and recruitment metrics. Provide analytical and well-documented recruiting reports to the rest of the People Operations team, leadership, and founders
  • Other related work as necessary.
