Role Overview

As a Frontend UI Engineer, where you will work closely with a senior mentor to deliver product features from conception to production. Your role will focus on translating detailed designs into resilient, pixel-perfect user interfaces while ensuring high quality, performance, and a seamless user experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Ship features with a mentor by collaborating with a senior engineer to deliver well-scoped components or flows, writing high quality code, and overseeing QA and rollout.
• Translate design into resilient UI by implementing responsive layouts, typography, motion, and micro-interactions from Figma with pixel-level precision.
• Harden quality and performance by using DevTools to profile and debug issues while adding thoughtful tests for critical paths.
• Collaborate tightly with design and product teams to deep dive into design challenges, consider broader impacts, and implement solutions that align with architectural standards.
• 
  Close the loop with users by triaging UI bugs, addressing polish issues, and connecting engineering decisions to positive user outcomes.

What We Look For

Skills:

• Evidence of craft: A portfolio or repository that demonstrates strong taste and finish from internships, freelance work, open-source projects, or personal applications.
• Strong HTML and CSS: Proficiency in layout, spacing, typography, responsive design, and component-driven styling.
• Practical JavaScript or TypeScript: Experience with modern JavaScript and familiarity with at least one component framework such as React, along with the ability to decompose problems into small, composable pieces.
• First principles problem-solving: Ability to deeply understand challenges, devise elegant and simple solutions, and take end-to-end ownership of implementations.
• Additional exposure to building creation tools, editors, or visual canvases, as well as design literacy or open source contributions related to frontend tools, is a plus.
