The Global Learning and Development (GLD) team is looking for a passionate and motivated soft-skill trainer who can plan, implement, and scale new and existing soft-skill, management, and leadership development programs for employees at the associate, frontline, and mid-management levels. This role is critical to the successful development, launch, scaling, and maintenance of a world-class GLD team.
Youll spend time on the following:
- Design, pilot and roll out innovative, high-impact learning experiences across diverse geographies, utilizing both in-person and digital formats to engage employees effectively
- Evaluate, enhance and scale existing development initiatives to match the organizations rapid growth and evolving needs
- Support the exploration and eventual implementation of AI solutions for content design
- Manage logistics for learning programs within a specific site or program area
- Gather learning impact data and create informative reports
- Analyze training data for patterns and trends to provide actionable insights to business stakeholders
- Focus on creating the optimal learner experience and recommend enhancements
- Conduct needs assessments (surveys, interviews) and suggest program improvement.
- Contribute to the organizations efforts for continuous improvement
- Develop and maintain strong partnerships with front-line and mid-level managers
- Participate in needs assessments, analyze and prioritize requirements, and align recommendations with business goals
- Assist program managers in executing program-related tasks as needed, including communication, documentation, and analysis
- Support the development and maintenance of learning content when required
- A bachelors degree in a relevant field
- Experience in Learning & Development roles
- Adept at leveraging technology to create innovative and engaging learning experiences
- Proven track record in designing and delivering impactful learning programs that achieve tangible business results in entrepreneurial or scale-up context
- Familiarity with various business areas (e.g., operations, product, tech) to create holistic, relevant learning initiatives

- Fluent in English with full proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing
- At least 3 years of professional experience in facilitating soft skills programs for both virtual and in-person groups, ideally in a large corporate environment that embraces multiculturalism
- Knowledgeable in soft skills, behavioral, management, and leadership development concepts, as well as adult learning principles
- Skilled at prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced and complex work environment, ensuring effective time management
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities, with a knack for influencing across different job levels
- Excellent team player with strong interpersonal skills
- Self-directed and able to manage projects independently with confidence
- Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications, with a particular strength in MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Word

Last week, I celebrated my one-year anniversary at Groupon. I shared some of my thoughts with our global employees on the numerous accomplishments we’ve made together in executing our turnaround strategy to become THE destination for Local as well as the road ahead.
This month marked an important milestone for me personally – my one-year anniversary at Groupon. When I joined the team last December, I was excited about the potential our marketplace has to give our 20+ million customers memories that can last a lifetime.
There is no question that we have faced both expected and unexpected challenges and had to make difficult decisions, however, our team has also accomplished so much together. And I’m even more excited about where the Groupon marketplace is headed than when I started. I’m motivated by the potential of the Groupon marketplace, and by all the progress our team has made this year executing our turnaround strategy to become THE destination for Local.
We’ve been moving fast to test, learn and scale new initiatives – all with the goal of improving Local purchase frequency. The journey to transform our marketplace will not be a straight path but rather a winding road with twists, bumps and even a few detours along the way. We’ve just begun our journey together, but looking back at 2022, I can see the green shoots of success. I am confident that the meaningful improvements we need to make to our inventory and customer experience are within reach.
