Job Description
- Guidepoint Insights is searching for an experienced Digital Copy Editor to join their team. As a Digital Copy Editor, you will play a crucial role in managing and maintaining the company's digital library of teleconferences by ensuring that all supporting text aligns with Guidepoint's standards for quality and accuracy. Your responsibilities will include exercising exceptional editorial judgment to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality client-facing transcripts, proofreading and editing text for consistency and clarity based on AP style, redacting personally identifiable information, creating transcript titles, identifying key companies discussed, and collaborating with a team of digital copy editors to uphold editorial excellence.
The ideal candidate should hold a Bachelor's degree in English, journalism, or a related discipline and have at least 2 years of experience in copy editing and/or digital media, preferably in business- or industry-focused content. Proficiency in AP writing styles, digital media editing or writing, SEO best practices, computer skills, and the ability to thrive in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments are essential. Strong communication skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a positive attitude are also key qualities for this role. Additionally, candidates may be required to complete a transcript editing test upon request.
